Differences between rich (full-colour) black and single black, colours sitting near the edge of the CMYK gamut, fine tints and slight variation between materials, finishes and print batches are a normal part of the printing process and may not be visible on your on-screen proof. These are considered within standard commercial print tolerance and are not classed as a fault. Are satin gold labels waterproof?
Yes. They’re printed on 70-micron gold vinyl using eco-solvent inks, so they’re water resistant, UV resistant and scratch resistant, and won’t smudge. They suit both indoor and outdoor use and carry roughly 4 years of external weathering.
What’s the difference between satin and polished gold?
Satin gold has a soft, brushed matt sheen for a more understated, high-class look. Polished gold is far more reflective and shiny, closer to a mirror foil. If you’re unsure which suits your product, order a free sample of each first.
Why do my printed colours look different on gold?
Our CMYK inks are slightly translucent, so printing straight onto the gold gives colours a metallic tint but a duller tone. For brighter, truer colours we print a white under-base first - set your artwork up following our artwork guidelines if you need white ink.
What adhesive do gold labels use?
A permanent advanced acrylic adhesive, which sticks well to smooth surfaces like glass jars, bottles and product containers. It’s the only adhesive option on this satin gold material.
How are the labels supplied and what’s the minimum order?
They come cut to size on approximately A4 sheets as standard, with individual cutting available for a small fee. There’s no minimum - order a single label or several thousand, and mix designs in one run at no extra cost.
