Our printed candle labels are made from a self-extinguishing vinyl rather than flammable paper, so they cope far better with heat near a jar, tin or votive. The label should never touch the flame, but if it does it won’t catch alight the way paper does.
Every label is printed in full colour and cut to your exact size and shape, then supplied on easy-peel sheets ready to place on your containers. Pick a gloss finish for bright, glossy colour or a matt finish for a softer, low-glare look that suits a hand-poured, artisan brand.
Choose a white vinyl base or a clear vinyl for a no-label look on glass jars, with the option of a white ink layer behind your artwork so colours stay solid on see-through containers. There’s no big minimum order either - start with a single label and scale up as your candle business grows.

By approving your proof you accept the following. Colour is reproduced as accurately as possible but cannot be guaranteed to match your screen, a printed sample or a previous order exactly. Differences between rich (full-colour) black and single black, colours sitting near the edge of the CMYK gamut, fine tints and slight variation between materials, finishes and print batches are a normal part of the printing process and may not be visible on your on-screen proof. These are considered within standard commercial print tolerance and are not classed as a fault. Where any question of print quality arises, StickyThings is the final arbiter of whether a job has printed correctly.
Frequently asked questions
Are your candle labels heat resistant?
They’re printed on a self-extinguishing vinyl that copes with the warmth of a candle jar far better than paper. Your label shouldn’t touch the flame itself, but if it does the vinyl won’t catch alight and burn the way paper labels can.
Can I get clear candle labels for glass jars?
Yes. Choose a clear vinyl for a no-label look on glass, or a solid white vinyl base. On clear material we can print an extra layer of white ink behind your design so colours stay bold rather than showing the wax through them.
Do you help with CLP safety labelling?
You’ll need CLP information on any candle containing hazardous chemicals - product identifier, allergens, the correct signal word, hazard and precautionary statements, the relevant hazard icons at 2x2cm minimum, and your supplier contact details. We print whatever you supply; the wording and classifications must come from your own CLP data.
Are the labels waterproof and hard-wearing?
Yes. The vinyl and inks are water and scratch resistant, so labels wipe clean and hold up to handling, transit and the odd spill without smudging or peeling. A permanent adhesive keeps them stuck to your containers for the life of the candle.
Can I order a sample before committing?
We’d recommend it. Order free samples carrying our logo to test the adhesive, finish and print quality, or place a minimum order of just one label for a true hard-copy proof of your own artwork on your chosen material.
